Krzysztof Zanussi, famous Polish film director and producer, speaks at the conference “Television as Business”
Krzysztof Zanussi speaks for representatives of Ukrainian television industry at the conference “Television as Business”. The conference takes place on Thursday, September 15, in Radisson Blu Hotel during the unique range of international events for television, movie and media business experts KIEV MEDIA WEEK.
Krzysztof Zanussi is one of the most famous world film directors. He made about 40 motion and TV films. Most of them gained various awards at the world-known festivals. Also he directed numerous documentaries .
Among his many prestigious prizes and distinctions are: the David di Donatello Award, the Cavalier’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, the Cavalier de L’Ordre des Arts et Lettres (France), the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Merit to Lithuania, the Order of Jaroslav the Wise conferred by the President of Ukraine.
Krzysztof Zanussi is also a member of: the European Film Academy, the Polish Academy of Science, the PEN-Club, the Polish Writers Association, member of the Pontifical Commission of Culture at the Vatican and ex-president of the EUROVISIONI Association.
Krzysztof Zanussi has authored the following books: Discussing Amateur Film (Warsaw, 1978Time to Die (Warsaw, 1999), Between a Funfair and Salon (Warsaw, 1999), and A Portrait of the Artist (Warsaw, 2008).
Since 1980 he is director and artistic director of the TOR Film Studio. From 1987 is staging productions in the theatres of Poland, Germany, France, Italy and Russia.
Mr. Zanussi has been invited to give lectures at numerous universities, including Columbia, Yale, Cambridge, Rice University (Houston), and also to teach master classes in London, Moscow, Beijing, Pune (India), Pusan (South Korea) and many Western European cities.
